Az Akahouse egy néhány száz lelket számláló aprócska faluban – Akán - található, a Bakony szívében. Budapestről másfél óra alatt megközelíthető, akár Bicske felől, a festői Vértesen átvágva, akár Székesfehérvár felől, a valamivel gyorsabb, ám kevésbé látványos úton.
A vendégház a falucska egyetlen főutcáján található, a templom, és a vegyesbolt közvetlen szomszédságában. Ideérve számos szép bakonyi parasztházat csodálhatunk meg. Megférnek itt egymás mellett a tősgyökeres akaiak régimódi parasztházai és a városból idetelepülő vagy
a szabadidejüket itt töltő lakosok korszerűen felújított pihenőházai.
Akahouse is situated in Aka, which is a little village with a few hundred residents in the heart of the Bakony hills. You can reach this place from Budapest with an hour and a half drive, either from the direction of Bicske crossing the picturesque Vértes hills or through Székesfehérvár, which latter way is faster but less spectacular.
The guest house is found on the only main street of the small village in the neighbourhood
of the church and the local shop.
On your way to the house you will see many of the typical Bakony-style authentic peasant cottages. Some belong to the people even born here, some others are used as holiday homes of townsmen.
Az Akahouse az 1800-as évek végén épült, a bakonyi parasztházak jellegzetes stílusában, melynek fő eleme a ház hosszában futó oszlopos tornác. Az utóbbi években , a régi kor stílusjegyeinek meghagyásával teljes korszerűsítésen esett át, új padlózatot és szigetelést kapott, kicserélték a nyílászárókat, és a teljes födémet is. Kívülről, belülről hófehérre festették.
A ház teljes komfortosítása is megtörtént, bevezetésre került a folyóvíz, a szobákhoz fürdőszobák kerültek kialakításra. Megmaradt a régi idők emlékeit őrző kemence, a fagerendázat, és az eredeti elrendezés.
Akahouse was built at the end of the nineteenth century in the style of the Bakony peasant cottages with the typical element of the long corridor with white coloums running along the full lenghts of the house. During the recent years it was fully renovated and modernized, leaving the original spirit and style of the place. A new flooring was lied down, insulation was added, windows and doors were replaced and the roof was also fully redone.
The house was painted white inside as well as outside.
The house was installed with all the modern conviniences with runing hot and cold water, bathrooms and toilettes were added to each room. The old oven was left untouched, as well as the wooden timber framework on the ceilings and the traditional arrangement of the rooms.
A ház 100 m2 alapterületű, ebből jelenleg egy 80 m2-es önálló bejárattal rendelkező lakrész kiadó. Ide belépve először a régies konyha tárul elénk, a fehérre meszelt kemencével, mely ma is működőképes. Itt került kialakításra egy reggeliző sarok, és egy főzősarok, villanytűzhellyel. A konyhában hűtőgép és mikró sütő is található. A konyha edényekkel, evőeszközökkel felszerelt.
Innen jobbra nyílik a „tiszta szoba”, melyben meghagyták az eredeti bútorokat., a páros ággyal. Apró fürdőszoba kapcsolódik a szobához, melyben mosdó, tusoló és WC található.
A kemencés konyhából balra nyílik a „vadász szoba”, mely nevéhez híven trófeákkal, agancsokkal lett dekorálva. Két különálló ágy található benne. A szoba végéből tágas fürdőszoba nyílik, fürdőkáddal, mosdóval. Innen nyílik a különálló WC.
A szobák télen cserépkályhával fűthetők, érkezéskor természetesen meleg szobák várják a látogatókat.
A ház végében 1784-ben épült pince található, nyáron itt is elfogyasztható a szabadban sült, főtt étel. A ház másik végét a tágas terasz zárja le, ahonnan szép kilátás nyílik az erdőre, és ahol gyakorta őzeket is megleshetünk. A telek végén aprócska ér folydogál.
The house has 100 m2 basic area, out of which a fully separated, independent part of 80 m2 is for rent. Entering this part of the building first you reach the old style kitchen with the white oven that still works. There is a breakfast corner to the right and also an area for cooking in the same room. The kitchen is equipped with a refridgerator and a microwave oven. The cupboard containes pots, plates and cutlery etc.
The kitchen is in the middle of the house, there is one room to both sides.
To the right you will find the „ clean room” which has the original furniture with a double bed with comfortable matresses. There is a small bathroom attached to the room, with toilette, shower and wash basin.
To the left you will find the „ hunting room”, which was decorated with trophies and antlers.
There are two single beds in it. Beyond the room there is a big bathroom with bath and shower and wash basin. From the bathroom you can reach the toilette.
Both rooms are heated with romantic tile stoves, that warm up the rooms before the arrival of the guests.
In front of the house there is a wine keller from 1874, that offers nice athmospere in hot summers days and creats an ideal place for lunch prepared outside.
At the other end of the house there is a big terrace with nice view for the nearby forrest that has many deers coming close to the house. At the end of the garden there is a very small stream.
A házhoz 1600 m2-es füves kert tartozik, sátorozási lehetőséget is kínálva a vendégházat igénybevevő vendégek részére.
Azoknak kínáljuk az Akahouse-t, akik szeretik a csendet, a régi, ráérős idők hangulatát, de akik a mai kor komfortjáról sem szeretnének lemondani.

The garden is 1600 m2 big, offering enough grassy space for tents for children, additional guests to enjoy the advantages of camping.
We recommend Akahouse to people who enjoy silence and the relaxed atmospehre of the old times, but who need modern conviniences at the same time.
